Defending champion SSP Chawrasia and Chirag Kumar shot one-under during an incomplete first round on a weather-hit opening day of the Indian Open, PTI reported. Chawrasia and Chirag completed 15 and 11 holes respectively before rain stopped play.
England’s David Horsey was at the top of the leaderboard with an impressive five-under through 15 holes. Italy’s Matteo Manassero (68) is second. One shot behind him was England’s Eddie Pepperell.
With rain and lightening stopping play for 90 minutes, as many as 66 golfers, including Chawrasia and Chirag, were left stranded and now will be completing their rounds on Friday.
