India women on Monday registered their fourth win over Belarus with a hard-fought 2-1 win in the penultimate game of the five-match series currently underway in Bhopal.
Renuka Yadav gave India the lead six minutes into the game. Two minutes from the end of the first quarter, Gurjit Kaur converted a penalty corner to double India’s advantage. The visitors pulled one back back through Nastassia Syrayezhka to put India under pressure heading into the second half. India’s defence, however, produced a robust performance to secure victory.
