Rising Pune Supergiant’s have acquired the services of pace bowler Shardul Thakur from Kings XI Punjab for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League, which starts on April 5. The fast bowler was bought by KXIP during the 2014 season. Thakur will join Mayank Agarwal at RPS, whose services were secured from Delhi Daredevils.
Thakur has played just once in the IPL when Punjab faced Delhi at the Feroz Shah Kotla in 2015. In the game, he gave away 38 runs in three overs and bagged one wicket. Thakur was asked to leave the tournament midway last season because of Punjab’s disastrous campaign.
