Mumbai and India batsman Rohit Sharma announced on Twitter that he has regained fitness after a four-month layoff.
Sharma, who suffered a thigh injury late last year, has made himself available for the final two games of the Vijay Hazare trophy.
Sharma, 29, suffered the injury during the final India-New Zealand One-day International at Visakhapatnam in October 2016. He underwent surgery in London that subsequently forced him out of the entire England series.
Mumbai pacer Dhawal Kulkarni has also recovered after a lengthy spell on the sidelines owing to a knee injury, and will play for Mumbai during their final two games of the Vijay Hazare trophy. Meanwhile, the Mumbai selectors picked all-rounder Vinayak Bhoir for left-arm spinner Vijay Gohil along with Sharma and Kulkarni.
Mumbai’s final two games are against Andhra on March 4 and Goa on 6th, and have already booked a place in the quarter-finals.
