A report has said that Mumbai is India’s richest city with a combined wealth of $820 billion (approximately Rs 54.64 lakh crore), PTI reported on Sunday. The study by New World Health says that India’s financial capital is home to 46,000 millionaires and 28 billionaires.

The city is followed by Delhi and Bengaluru, with wealth worth $450 billion (approximately Rs 29.98 lakh crore) and $320 billion (approximately Rs 21.32 lakh crore).

While Delhi is home to 23,000 millionaires and 18 billionaires, Bengaluru has 7,700 millionaires and 8 billionaires. The list published by New World Health also includes Hyderabad, saying that the city has a total wealth of $310 billion (approximately Rs 20.65 lakh crore).

Other cities on the list include Kolkata with a combined wealth of $290 billion (approximately Rs 19.32 lakh crore) and Chennai, which has a total wealth of $150 billion (approximately Rs 9.99 lakh crore).

The report said that India will benefit from strong local growth in sectors such as financial services, information technology, real estate, healthcare and media over the next decade. “In particular, the local hospital services and health insurance sectors are expected to grow strongly,” the report said.
