International Master Padmini Rout drew with Zhao Xue of China while Dronavalli Harika also split point with Dinara Saduakassova of Kazakhstan in the second round of the World women’s chess championship on Thursday, PTI reported.
The draw means that the two will clash now in the tiebreak games of shorter duration. In tiebreak games, first two games of 25 minutes each will be played with a 10 seconds increment. If the tie remains unsolved, two games will be played with 10 minutes and a ten seconds increment after every move and should the deadlock persists two more games with five minutes to both players with a three seconds increment will be played.
If still unresolved the players will play an Armageddon game with white having five minutes against four for black in order to proceed to the next round.
