The Pakistani blind cricket team stunned India by seven wickets in New Delhi on Wednesday to post their third straight win of the Blind T20 World Cup.
After electing to bat first, the defending champions posted a formidable total of 204/5 with opener J Prakash slamming 90 off just 56 deliveries. In reply, Pakistan were kept in the chase with Nasir Ali’s solid 30-ball 45. India were unable to cope with the robust hitting of Mohammad Zafar, who slammed an unbeaten 88 from just 52 deliveries to help his side chase the target down with a whopping 27 balls to spare
Pakistan had earlier beaten New Zealand and England in their opening games largely riding on their batting firepower. India started the tournament beating Bangladesh by a handsome 129-run margin. In their second encounter, they hammered West Indies by 142 runs.
Brief score
India 204/5 in 20 overs (J Prakash 90, D Venkateswara Rao 53; Muhammad Akram 1/53) lost to Pakistan 205/3 in 15.3 overs (Muhammad Zafar 88 not out, Nisar Ali 45; Deepak Malik 1/29, Ketan Patel 1/50) by 7 wickets.
