A Eurowings aircraft carrying 297 people made an emergency landing after a reported bomb scare while travelling from Salalah, Oman, to Cologne in Germany on Sunday. A Lufthansa spokesperson said that no evidence of any explosives was found on the plane, after it had been thoroughly searched. Eurowings is the budget carrier of Germany’s largest airline Lufthansa.
The aircraft had landed in Kuwait on Sunday morning. All 299 passengers had been evacuated safely. The same flight is expected to leave for Germany on Sunday night.
