The Indian Under-17 team beat Belarus Under-18 1-0 in their second match of the Granatkin Memorial Cup in Saint Petersburg in Russia on Tuesday.
Komal scored the lone goal of the match through a tap-in in the 68th minute of the match. After a 0-8 loss against Russia in the first match, the Indian colts bounced back emphatically in their second outing.
The match saw both sides end the first half in a goalless manner. The second half saw India pick up the tempo with India going for an offensive attack. In the end, Komal’s strike made the difference for a crucial win.
India are now second in their group below Russia and will now play Latvia Under-18 in their third and final group match.
