Former India captain and current Cricket Association of Bengal president Sourav Ganguly revealed on Monday that he had received a threat letter from an an anonymous source, asking him to keep away from a programme organised by the Vidyasagar University in Medinipur, West Bengal on January 19, reported PTI.
The 44-year-old stated that he had informed the police about the letter, “Yes, I have received the letter on January 7 and I have informed this to the police and the organisers,” Ganguly said.
The former India captain, though, was uncertain about attending the event and that a decision was yet to be made, “Let’s see, nothing has been decided yet but it will be a live show programme and you all will come to know if I go there,” the “Prince of Calcutta” added.
