The sun gets away with murder
Every day it decimates
from every life
one more day
And even as humanity watches
whole ages are butchered away
We have a choice though –
We can recoil
from the butchered pieces
of our existence
Throw them away in disgust
or fear
Or we can roast them slowly –
make of them kebobs –
to accompany
this cocktail of breaths
gulped one after another,
that we call life.
