The big story: Chelsea register 12th successive win

Chelsea registered a record 12th successive win to extend their lead at top of the Premier League table after a 3-0 win over AFC Bournemouth on Monday.

Chelsea opened the scoring through Pedro Rodriguez, who converted after a short corner made its way to him at the edge of the area. His left-footed shot went over the keeper and into the corner.

The Londoners doubled the lead four minutes into the second half after Eden Hazard scored from the spot after being brought down in the box.

Rodriguez scored again in the 90th minute to complete a convincing 3-0 win for the Blues.

Manchester City move to second place

Manchester City secured a 3-0 win over Hull City at the KCOM Stadium on Monday. Hull held out for more than an hour but their resistance finally crumbled when Raheem Sterling was brought down in the 72nd minute and Yaya Toure fired the ball in from the spot.

Kelechi Iheanacho doubled the lead six minutes later as he tapped in from close range. An own goal in injury time by Curtis Davies rounded off a miserable 20-minute spell for Hull.

The win put Pep Guardiola’s side second in the table on 39 points, seven behind leaders Chelsea.

Olivier Giroud’s late strike hands Arsenal narrow win

Arsenal escaped to 1-0 win over West Brom on back of an 86th minute goal by Olivier Giroud.

The Gunners produced an unconvincing performance that saw them waste many chances as West Brom keeper Ben Foster pulled off an impressive show to deny Arsenal for most part of the contest.

With the win, Arsenal ended their poor form that saw them lose back-to-back matches.

Manchester United seal fourth successive win

Manchester United romped to their fourth successive Premier League win with a 3-1 win over Sunderland.

United took the lead in the first-half though Daley Blind. Zlatan Ibrahimovic doubled the lead with eight minutes remaining. Substitute Henrikh Mkhitaryan added the third with a brilliant back-heel effort four minutes later.

Sunderland pulled one back in the 90th minute, but it was too little too late.
