Jharkhand beat Haryana by five wickets to enter their maiden Ranji Trophy semi-final.
Needing 176 for victory, Jharkhand chased down the target comfortably, with opening batsman Ishan Kishan anchoring the innings with a well-made 86.
Earlier, Haryana folded for 262 after resuming the day four on 146/2. Shabaz Nadeem and Samar Quadri were the standout performers picking up four and three wickets respectively.
In reply, Jharkhand chased down the target in just 30.2 overs.
Mumbai need three more wickets to win
A five-wicket haul by Vijay Gohil helped Mumbai inch closer to victory over Hyderabad heading into day five. Gohil’s effort saw Mumbai restrict Hyderabad to 121 for seven at stumps on day four, still trailing Mumbai by 111 runs.
Earlier, Mumbai lost seven wickets for just 115 runs after resuming the day on 102/3. Hyderabad’s Mohammed Siraj did much of the damage, picking up five wickets, including the crucial scalp of Mumbai skipper Aditya Tare, who was well-set on 57.
Chasing 232, Hyderabad slumped to 45/3. Top-order batsman Balchandra Anirudh (40 not out) kept Hyderabad in the hunt, but Gohil kept plucking at the other end to keep Mumbai in front.
Samit Gohel double ton takes Gujarat closer to semi-final spot
Gujarat stretched their lead Odisha to 578 over Gujarat as a double century by Samit Gohel helped them post a total of 514/8.
Gohel, who resumed the day on 110, was unbeaten at stumps on 261. He has now been at the crease for 555 minutes and has smashed 33 boundaries and one six in his effort.
Gujarat already have the first-innings lead under their belt.
