Olympic bronze medallist, Sakshi Malik, was pipped by Ritu Phogat as the most expensive Indian woman wrestler at R36 lakhs by Jaipur franchise at the auctions of the Pro-Wrestling League 2 on Friday. Malik was bagged by Delhi for only R30 lakhs.

The Phogat sisters — Geeta, Babita, Ritu and Sangeeta — bagged an overall amount of R70 lakh, PTI reported.

Meanwhile, Yogeshwar Dutt has opted out of the second edition after opting out of the auction process. Bajrang Punia was the most expensive Indian at the auction, bagging R38 lakhs from the Delhi franchise.

Overall, Rio Olympics gold medallist Vladimer Khinchegashvili of Georgia emerged as the costliest after being snapped up by Punjab for a whopping R48 lakh.

Delhi splurged R47 lakhs on Mariya Stadnik, making her the most expensive woman wrestler.
