India’s Parupalli Kashyap came from a game down to beat Korea’s Jeon Hyeok Jin to enter the semifinal of the Korea Masters Grand Prix Gold in Jeju on Friday.

Kashyap prevailed 18-21, 21-8, 21-16 in a gruelling contest. The two began the match with an exciting opening game that was fought tooth and nail. Jin took an early lead but, Kashyap kept the pressure on his opponent. The Indian faltered in the final few points to hand the game to the Korean.

In the second, Kashyap barely gave any room for the Korean to express himself. Kashyap dominated play through the game and managed to level the scores without breaking much sweat.
