Another night of Champions League football saw Premier League champions Leicester City being thrashed by FC Porto 5-0. It was a forgetful night of football as the Foxes were outplayed. Real Madrid, Juventus and Tottenham also were at their sublime best.

Leicester fall

Leicester City suffered the worst defeat by an English team in the Champions League as Porto beat them 5-0. They were outclassed in all departments of the game and were undone by some spectacular counter-attacking football.

Dortmund top group

Marco Reus’s late goal powered Borussia Dortmund to a 2-2 draw at Real Madrid in their Champions League Group F tie at the Santiago Bernabeu on Thursday. The result saw the German outfit finish on top of the group ahead of the hosts.

Juventus win

Gonzalo Higuaín ended his scoring drought as Juventus defeated Dinamo Zagreb 2-0. Juventus had already qualified for the knock-out stage, but the victory secured top spot in Group H ahead of Sevilla, who also advanced following a goalless draw with Lyon.

Spurs end of a high

Tottenham secured a place in the Europa League knockout stage as their Champions League campaign ended with a 3-1 win over CSKA Moscow. Spurs were down 1-0 when Alan Dzagoev scored. However, Dele Alli drew level, before Harry Kane put them 2-0 up. Igor Akinfeev scored an own goal to complete the 3-1 rout.
