Mountain running is not everyone’s cup of tea. It requires a person to be at their fittest and is clearly not for the faint-hearted as well. However, another sport that is taking its spot, is hill racing. A participant has to run up a steep incline, which is another way to test your fitness. In Bischofshofen, Austria, 1,400 contestants had to race up to 140 metres on a hill, which is actually used to ski-jumping.
A challenge that is not for a regular person, with the sun burning down on you, the task is a battle of survival literally. Athletes dig deep to win this race, but completing such a race makes you a winner.
