Parthiv Patel will be India’s wicketkeeper in the fourth Test against England, which begins on Thursday in Mumbai, reported ESPNcricinfo. Wriddhiman Saha, who strained his left thigh during the second Test in Visakhapatnam, is still recovering from the injury. Patel is also expected to open for the Indian team in Mumbai.
Returning to the Test team after a gap of eight years, Patel opened the batting in Mohali, scored 42 in the first innings and an unbeaten 67 in the second, to help India chase down their target of 103. Fast bowler Ishant Sharma will miss the Mumbai owing to his wedding as well.
