Manchester City were humbled by a ruthless Chelsea side, who were clinical in their counter-attacks and scored three second-half goals to win 3-1. It gave Antonio Conte’s side a four-point cushion at the top of the table but Liverpool can narrow the lead down to one when they face Bournemouth on Sunday.

The North London sides, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur smashed five goals each in their respective matches as they kept pace at the top of the table. Meanwhile, Leicester City continued to struggle in the league as they slumped to a defeat against relegation-threatened Sunderland.
