Ashwini Ponnappa and N Sikki Reddy lost the women’s doubles final of the Welsh International Challenge in Cardiff on Saturday. The Indians were defeated by the top-seeded Russian team of Olga Morozova and Anastasia Chervyakov in straight games 21-16, 21-11.
Earlier, on Saturday, Ponnappa and Reddy had come through in their semi-final against the English team of Lauren Smith and Sophie Brown in straight games 21-16, 21-18.
