Indian Grandmaster Harika Dronavalli drew with Russia’s Kosteniuk Alexandra in a ninth round game in the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix tournament in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia on Tuesday.
The draw takes Harika to 4.5 points to move back to joint-sixth place. This was her seventh draw in the tournament.
With just two more rounds left, Harika will look to finish on a high with two points on offer. She faces Gunina Valentina of Russia, also on 4.5 points in her next round. Nino Batsiashvili of Georgia currently leads the table with 6 points.
