The big news: Barcelona slip six points behind Real Madrid
Barcelona were held to a 1-1 draw by Real Sociedad on Sunday. They are now six points behind table toppers Real Madrid. Barcelona were outplayed, which is rare, and had to come from behind to secure a point. Willian Jose put Sociedad ahead but the lead lasted for just six minutes with Lionel Messi scoring the equaliser.
Sociedad should have won the game when Juanmi scored, but was wrongly ruled offside. Barcelona, who have now failed to win their last two La Liga games, are second on the table with 27 points from 13 games. Barcelona host Real Madrid in the El Clasico at the Nou Camp on December 3.
