A 25-year-old man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly raping a Japanese woman in Kerala’s Kovalam, PTI reported. The accused, identified as Teja, belongs to Karnataka and runs a handicrafts shop in the city with his family.
The 35-year-old Japanese woman was found injured in her hotel room by the staff, who then took her to the nearby SAT Hospital. The police arrested Teja based on a statement from the woman. Hospital authorities had informed them about the possible rape.
