Aditi Ashok cannot do any wrong at the moment and is on a roll on the Ladies European Tour. The 18-year old from Bengaluru is closing out the year in fine style as she won her second back-to-back LET title at the Qatar Ladies Open 2016, just days after becoming the first Indian woman to win a prestigious LET championship at the Ladies Indian Open.

Aditi shot a 3-under 69 on the last day, to end up with a total of 15-under 273, three strokes clear of her nearest competitor, Caroline Hedwall of Sweden. Hedwall had a chance to level up the scores on the last hole, but bogeyed the 18th and could not force a play-off.

Ashok, who also became the only Indian woman to qualify for the ladies golf tournament at Rio 2016, also has two other top-10 finishes to her name this year and is in running for the LET’s Rookie of the year prize.

The 18-year old leads the race for the prize, way ahead of Spain’s Nuria Iturrios in second. Ranked 198th in the world, Aditi is also third in the 2016 Order of Merit, behind Beth Allen of US and Shanshan Feng of China.
