Hollywood actor Brad Pitt has been given a clean chit by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in a child abuse case involving his 15-year-old son. The agency said it would not pursue the investigation into the incident, which allegedly took place on board a private flight, reported AP.
The FBI had said in September that it would “evaluate whether an investigation at the federal level will be pursued”. Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services had also looked into the incident. Pitt is in the middle of a divorce with Hollywood star Angelina Jolie, and the care of their children has been one of the main causes of disagreement between them. Jolie wants sole custody of the six children, Pitt wants joint custody.
Jolie said she was relieved after the child services investigation was closed earlier this month. “Angelina said from the beginning that she felt she had to take action for the health of the family and is relieved that after their eight-week involvement, the DCFS is now satisfied the safeguards are put in place that will allow the children to heal,” her representative had said at the time.
