India’s Test captain Virat Kohli reached a career-high ranking of fourth in the latest International Cricket Council’s player rankings for Test batsmen. Kohli scored 167 and 81 in the second Test against England at Visakhapatnam, powering India to a 246-run win and a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
The 28-year-old’s performance in the second Test helped him go past his previous career-best ranking of 10th to fourth place in the rankings and he now trails England’s Joe Root who is in second position, by 22 points.
