India’s Anirban Lahiri went three-under through the front nine at the RSM Classic golf tournament on Saturday, reported PTI.
Lahiri, four-under after the first day, produced an impressive show as he looked to move up the leaderboard.
But on the back nine, the birdies dried up and the next one did not come till the very last hole, the 18th, at the Sea Island Resort’s Seaside Course in St Simons Island, USA.
In between, he dropped a bogey on the 13th, ending with a 69. Lahiri ended the day at seven-under 135 and in tied-36th place, which was five spots above where he was after the first day.
This is Lahiri’s third start on the PGA Tour in the new season after a tied-third finish in the CIMB Classic and tied-28th in Mayakoba.
