On Thursday, 600,000 people around the world attempted to break world records for the 12th annual Guinness World Records Day. But the one attempted by 24-year-old Simon Berry from Sheffield, England might be the most unique.
The adventure enthusiast leapt off a platform 73 metres – 240 feet – from the ground in a bungee jump. That’s pretty normal as bungee jumps go. Except he had a chocolate biscuit in his hand. With the cord fully extended, the record breaker dunked the biscuit into a cup of tea, emblazoned with the British flag, to break the world record for the event.
The video above shows two views. One from the audience’s perspective, and the more breathtaking one from the camera mounted on Berry, so you can see what he saw as he pitched headfirst towards the solitary cup of tea below.
