India will host the Twenty20 Cricket World Cup for the Blind at nine different venues from January 31 to February 12 next year. Pakistan will also participate in the tournament, which is organised by the Cricket Association for the Blind in India. The budget of the tournament is Rs 24.5 crore and former India cricketer Rahul Dravid is the brand ambassador, The Indian Express reported.
India will play West Indies in the opening game in Delhi, while the final will be played in Bengaluru, it was announced at a media conference on Wednesday. Apart from India and Pakistan, the other teams participating are England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Mumbai, Faridabad, Gujarat, Kochi, Bhubaneswar and Andhra Pradesh will also host matches, the report said.
