An impressive performance in the rain-hit Brazilian Grand Prix has more or less guaranteed an unprecedented fourth position for Sahara Force India in the Formula One constructor’s championship.
The team secured 18 points in the race as Sergio Perez finished fourth and Nico Hulkenberg seventh. Force India now have 163 points, 27 more than closest rival Williams, who did not manage to take a single point from the race.
Force India had managed to finish fifth last season with 136 points. With just one race to go, the team is set to make their best-ever finish, unless Williams produce a dramatic turnaround in the season-ending race in Abu Dhabi.
