Parisian rock venue, Bataclan, reopened with a performance by British musician Sting on Sunday after it was targeted during a militant attack on November 13, 2015, The Guardian reported. Three militants killed 90 people attending the Eagles of Death Metal concert on the fateful day. Sting said, “We will not forget them.”

After calling for a minute’s silence, Sting said, “We’ve got two important things to do tonight … First, to remember and honour those who lost their lives in the attacks a year ago. And then to celebrate the life and the music of this historic venue.” Several parents and relatives of the victims of the attack were in the audience.

One militant was shot dead while the other two killed themselves by detonating explosive vests during the attack, Reuters reported. On November 13, Paris was hit by a series of coordinated attacks, which left more than 130 people dead. Considered the deadliest attack on France since World War II, it involved suicide bombings and mass shootings at restaurants, cafes and other venues across the city. The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the attack.
