It was a performance that cemented Liverpool’s chances as title contenders. They absolutely destroyed Watford, netting six stunning goals against a hapless Watford defence. After Chelsea’s brilliant 5-0 show against Everton, this was a perfect game to end the Premier League weekend with an international break coming up next week.
United show class
Finally, Paul Pogba showed his pedigree as he scored a stunner to open Manchester United account's against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a brace as the duo notched up inspiring performances to propel United to the sixth spot. Wayne Rooney also showed glimpses of his calibre with assists and delightful cuts with the ball. It was a performance that must have given United fans some hope after a disastrous last couple of weeks.
