After Arsenal handed out a 3-0 thrashing on September 24 at the Emirates Stadium, Antonio Conte's Chelsea seem to have finally found their lost mojo.
Such has been their form since that loss to the Gunners that they have lost only a League Cup encounter against West Ham United 1-2. However, in the Premier League, they have been unbeaten since the Emirates debacle and have outclassed the likes of Manchester United, defending champions Leicester City, Southampton and Everton. Their form has seen them smash 16 goals and concede zilch in the Premier League.
Leicester City smashed
Defending champions Leicester bore the brunt of Chelsea’s new found love for the beautiful game. They were outclassed 3-0 and were unable to contain the Blues as they ran riot at Stamford Bridge, leaving Leicester to doubt their capabilities as defending champions.
The humiliation of Jose Mourinho
Here is a recap of their stellar show against United. It was the return of Jose Mourinho at his former club only to be demolished 0-4. Pedro gave the Blues the opening goal as Gary Cahill doubled the lead. In the second half, Eden Hazard and Kanté scored two goals to complete the rout.
Everton was supposed to be a test
Everton never knew what hit them at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. They were smashed 5-0 as Chelsea rose to the top of the table with 25 points. They are a force to reckon with and even though it is still early to predict a champion, Chelsea have staked a strong claim for the title.
