Delhi Dynamos went on top of the 2016 Indian Super League table for the first time this season after a clinical 2-0 victory against Kerala Blasters at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on Friday.
The first half saw both teams failing to break the deadlock with Gianluca Zambrotta not pleased with his side’s performance. However, the second half saw a rejuvenated Delhi side playing attacking football and finding plenty of loopholes in the Kerala defence.
Kean Lewis netted the first goal for Delhi through a beautiful volleyed strike in the 56th minute and Marcelinho took advantage of a dreadful defensive error from Kerala to double the lead four minutes later. Kerala Blasters slumped to their third loss of the season.
