After a devastating earthquake in August that claimed 247 lives, parts of Central and Southern Italy were once again hit by an earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter Scale on Sunday. No casualties were reported after the quake, but heritage buildings such as Norcia's historic Basilica of St Benedict and the town hall collapsed because of the disaster.

Sunday's quake was the largest one to hit Italy since 1980. The video above was captured by a drone flying over Amatrice, a town in Central Italy with a population of 1,000, where St Augustine, a 600-year-old Church, collapsed due to the shockwaves.

Many residents have been displaced and Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, while swearing that Italy would rebuild itself, also said that the quake has destroyed the "soul of the country".
