Chelsea took the lead through Eden Hazard within six minutes of the match with the Belgian hitting top form this season. Diego Costa slotted in the second in the second half to continue his amazing run in front of goal this year. The victory was Chelsea's fourth in a row in the league, which is a feat they last achieved in April 2015. Costa has now reached 40 Premier League goals in 64 games, the sixth fastest player to do so and seven games faster than Manchester City's Sergio Aguero.

- Delhi Dynamos dominated proceedings against FC Goa as they beat them 2-0 at the Fatorda Stadium on Sunday. With the win, Dynamos take the third spot on the table with Goa remaining at the bottom with their fifth loss of the season.
- Saudi Arabia said that it had foiled a plan to bomb a World Cup 2018 qualifying match between Saud Arabia and Dubai in October in the western city of Jeddah. Authorities said that militants had plotted to car-bomb near the stadium, an attempt made by by Islamic State militants to kill security officials near Riyadh.
