After their dominating 117-88 win against New York Knicks in their season opener, the Cavaliers were made to work against the Raptors. LeBron James, Kyrie scored 26 points, with LeBron James netting 21 and Kein Love getting 18 against the Raptors.
Lakers suffer first defeat
Utah Jazz registered their first win of the season by beating the Los Angeles Lakers 96-89. This was the Lakers' first defeat of the season. Derrick Favors was the star for Jazz, scoring 15 points with nine rebounds, along with Rodney Hood's 15 points for the night. Jazz had lost their opening-day match to the Portland Trail Blazers. Lou Williams scored 17 points for the Lakers in the loss, who won their opener in LA against the Houston Rockets.
Heat fall to Hornets
The Charlotte Hornets beat Miami Heat 97-91 on Friday in a thriller. The Hornets made up a 19-point deficit to beat Heat at the American Airlines Arena. Point guard Kemba Walker finished the game with 24 points. Heat center Hassan Whiteside finished with 20 points and 14 rebounds.
