India's junior men’s hockey team beat Spain 3-1 in the Four-Nations Invitational tournament on Thursday. The result saw India top the table after the round-robin stages. For India, Parvinder Singh netted the opener, while Nilakanta Sharma and Armaan Qureshi scored the remaining two goals agains the host nation.
India were the dominant team from the start and didn’t give the Spanish team a chance at goal. Spain scored their lone goal of the match in the 16th minute with the help of Gerard Garcia. India had their lost their previous clash 4-2 against Belgium, but won the opener against Germany 3-1 in the tournament.
