The dates for 2017 Fifa Under-17 World Cup to be held in India were announced earlier this week. The tournament will begin on October 6 and end on October 28. The draw for the tournament will be held on July 7, 2017. However, after almost a 10-day-long inspection, the six venues were selected to host the mega spectacle. Kolkata, Guwahati, Kochi, Navi Mumbai, Goa and New Delhi were chosen after a Fifa delegation inspected the grounds and facilities before giving their approval.
Recently, the BRICS Under-17 tournament was held in Goa and was a hit among critics and football fans across the country.
