United States Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Wednesday said his Democrat rival Hillary Clinton's foreign policy would spark a World War 3 in Syria, Reuters reported. Clinton, who is currently leading opinion polls, warned her supporters against complacency while urging them to vote.
Trump told the news agency that Clinton's plan to address the civil war in the war-torn region could "lead to World War Three" as it included a potential conflict with nuclear power, Russia. He said, "You're not fighting Syria any more, you're fighting Syria, Russia and Iran, all right," BBC reported.
While addressing voters in Florida, Clinton said, "I hope you will come out and vote because it's going to be a close election. Pay no attention to the polls. Don’t forget, don't get complacent, because we've got to turn people out." Polls have recently given Clinton the lead, following her the final presidential debate on October 20.
The election will be held on November 8.
