In the poster, the LeT dubbed Muhammad Anas, alias Abu-Saraqa, a martyr and claimed that they had killed 177 Indian soldiers. "Funeral prayers in absentia for Mujahid Bhai Abu Siraqa Muhammad Anas martyr for having killed 177 Hindu soldiers in Kashmir," reads the poster. The poster also said that JuD chief Hafiz Saeed will address a special session after the prayers, reported The Times of India.
The posters are being considered the first piece of hard evidence for India, which believed that the attack was orchestrated by the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed. However, Pakistan said that the allegations levelled against it are baseless. Initial reports had indicated that the JeM was behind the attack. Director General Military Operations Lieutenant General Ranbir Singh had said that they had found items with the militants that had "Pakistani markings" on them.Limited-time offer: Big stories, small price.
