Lewis Hamilton registered his 50th Formula One victory as he cruised to an easy win at the United States Grand Prix in Austin on Sunday. Hamilton has now won the third highest amount of races in Formula One, with only Alain Prost (51) and Michael Schumacher (91) having won more than that number in the history of the sport.
With this win, the Brit cut his championship points deficit to Nico Rosberg, who came in second, to 26 points. This was Hamilton's first win since the German Grand Prix in July and with three races and 75 points available, the duo are set for a close finish this season. Rosberg put up a stellar show after he was outdone by some fine driving by Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo, who finished third eventually.
