Bengaluru FC made history on Wednesday by becoming the first Indian football club to reach the AFC Cup final. They beat Malaysian opponents Johor Darul Ta'zim 3-1 in the second semi-final at Bengaluru's Krantiveera Stadium, where the first leg between the two ended in a 1-1 draw.

The visiting side took the lead in the game after Bengaluru goalkeeper Amrinder Singh spilled the ball onto the path of Johor attacker Safiq Rahim, who then scored the game's first goal. Bengaluru had plenty of possession and were rewarded five minutes from half-time after skipper Sunil Chhetri's header from a corner.

Bengaluru FC will face Iraq's Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya in the AFC Cup final on November 5.
