Tom Cruise returns for a sequel to Jack Reacher, while the Korean film Train to Busan rolls into town.
31st October Shivaji Lotan Patil’s film, produced by Harry Sachdeva, is the story of a Sikh family that is caught up in the riots that followed Indira Gandhi’s assassination on October 31, 1984, by her Sikh bodyguards. The cast includes Soha Ali Khan and Vir Das. The movie was reportedly stuck with the Central Board of Film Certification for four months, and then had to battle a public interest litigation seeking a ban on the release.
Jack Reacher 2: Never Go Back Famous last words, especially when Tom Cruise is concerned. The sequel to the 2012 thriller, directed by Edward Zwick, features the indefatigable star as the former United States Army law enforcement division officer. In the follow-up, Reacher returns to his former unit and rescues his former associate Susan Turner (Cobie Smulders) from espionage charges.
Train to Busan Yeon Sang-ho’s Korean-language zombie horror film has been a massive domestic hit as well as a critical favourite. It has been dubbed in English for the Indian market. A divorced fund manager, his daughter, a married couple, a homeless man, a baseball team and two elderly sisters are among the commuters on a train that is attacked by zombies. Soon, all of Korea is engulfed by the flesh-eaters.
