In the third match of the Women's I-League preliminary round, Rising Student FC thrashed Quartz FC 5-1 at Cuttack on Tuesday.
Sasmit Malik scored the first goal within ten minutes at the start of the match. Pyari and Pinki made it 3-0 after the first 35 minutes. However, just before the end of the first half, Manpreet pulled one back for Quartz FC to make 3-1. In the second half, Pyari was once again on target scoring the fourth with Ngoubu Devi scoring two minutes later in the 66th minute to make it 5-1 and complete the mauling. Quartz FC face Alakhpura FC in their next match on October 20 while Rising Student FC face Royal Wahingdoh FC on October 21.
