Yuvraj Singh is back, again
Yuvraj Singh laid into a Madhya Pradesh attack that stunned Uttar Pradesh a week ago with an unbeaten hundred to put Punjab in total command at the end of day one. Gurkeerat Singh also got in on the act with a run-a-ball century, scoring 101 of the unbeaten 152-run partnership between him and Yuvraj.

Tamil Nadu batters continue to disappoint
Railways bowlers Deepak Bansal and Manjeet Singh picked up seven wickets between them to skittle out Tamil Nadu for a paltry 121 after opting to field first. Karn Sharma's side were only 34 runs behind Tamil Nadu at the close of play.

Karnataka ride on Samarth's hundred
Ravikumar Samarth's unbeaten hundred, along with Karun Nair's half-century, helped Karnataka take honours in Greater Noida on day one. Jharkhand medium-pacer Ashish Kumar picked up all three wickets.

Fifteen wickets fall in Jammu v Goa clash
Jammu and Kashmir, who won the toss and opted to bat first, were bowled out for 227 in their first innings against Goa in Surat. Parvez Rasool top scored with 87 as Shadab Jakati took 4/48 for Goa. However, in reply, Goa were struggling at 43/5 with Rasool and Ram Dayal bagging two wickets apiece.

Kerala steady after shaky start
Kerala were 17/2 within six overs in their clash against Himachal Pradesh on Thursday at Kolkata. However, a partnership between Sanju Samson and Sachin Baby ensured that they weren’t any more hiccups along the way as they ended the day on 163/4.

Services play smart against Tripura
