Ruthvika Shivani Gadde comprehensively beat Russia's Evegeniya Kosetskaya 21-10, 21-13 to win the Russian Open Grand Prix on Sunday. N Sikki Reddy and Pranaav Chopra went on to win the mixed doubles title after defeating Russian pair Vladimir Ivanov and Valeria Sokorina 21-17, 21-19 in the final.
It took only 26 minutes for Gadde, seeded fourth, to win her second final in 2016 after upsetting Olympic silver medalist PV Sindhu to win the gold medal at the South Asian Games. The Reddy-Chopra pair endured a harder game in the final and like Gadde, they won their second major honour this year after clinching the Brazil Grand Prix last month.
Siril Verma went down to Malaysia's Zulfadli Zulkiffi 21-16, 19-21, 10-21 in the men's singles final in an exhausting hour-long encounter.
