FC Goa lost 1-2 to FC Pune City in their Indian Super League encounter at the Fatorda stadium on Saturday. Both the teams were looking for their first win of ISL 2016.
In their first games, Goa were beaten away by NorthEast United while Pune City lost at home to their Maharashtra rivals Mumbai City FC.
Pune drew first blood with Arata Izumi breaking the deadlock in the 25th minute of the match to go 1-0 up against Zico’s men. Rafael Coelho netted Goa's equalizer in the 33rd minute to make it 1-1.
FC Goa were the better side throughout the encounter, especially in the second half. But the visitors kept the pressure up on the home side and seized their opportunity when it came their way with Momar N'Doye netting the winner in 90th minute of the game.
With this loss, FC Goa see themselves at the bottom of the table with FC Pune in fifth spot with three points. Last season runners-up Goa are yet to win a game this season.
