Tamil Nadu and Mumbai continued to fall like nine pins on a minefield of a wicket at Rohtak while Akshath Reddy scored the bulk of Hyderabad's runs against Goa. Madhya Pradesh's Harpreet Singh scored a wonderful double hundred against Uttar Pradesh while Saurashtra's Jaydev Shah came close against Rajasthan. Kerala's Sanju Samson also scored a masterful ton against Jammu & Kashmir.
14 wickets fall on Day 1, 12 on Day 2
After being shot out for 87 on day one, Tamil Nadu fought back on the second day to dismiss reigning champions, Mumbai, for 176. Skipper Aditya Tare's battling 48 helped his side grab a handy first-innings lead of 89. Tamil Nadu put a much improved batting display in their second essay but the Match is still firmly in Mumbai' hands.

Aditya Waghmore's heroics on the first day was backed up by Deepak Hooda bringing up a three-figure score on day two on a flat Sawai Mansingh stadium in Jaipur. Axar Patel picked up three wickets but took quite a beating during his toils over two days.

Gurkeerat leads Punjab fightback
Discarded Indian batsman, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, along with Uday Kaul stitched an unbeaten 110-run stand at the close of play on day two. Punjab were tottering at 44/4 after Railways had posted a formidable total of 331.

Harpreet guns down UP attack
Madhya Pradesh's Harpreet Singh scored a scintillating unbeaten double hundred against a good Uttar Pradesh attack. The second half of the day belonged to Gaurav Yadav, who landed three crucial blows, to sit on the driver's seat in Hyderabad.

Jaydev Shah built on his solid start on the first day to amass 193, falling to Mahipal Lomror to take Saurashtra to a handsome first innings score of 430. Rajasthan got to play only 10 balls before stumps was called in Vizianagaram.

Vidarbha on the march against Odisha
Vidarbha skipper Faiz Fazal led from the front with an unbeaten 76 on the second day to give his side a 32-run lead in the first innings with eight wickets still in hand. Shrikant Wagh and Akshay Wakhare scalped three wickets each to bundle Odisha out for 150.

Kaushal Singh's ton gives Jharkhand the lead
On a surface where most batsman struggled, Kaushal Singh cracked a fluent unbeaten hundred to take Jharkhand's first innings lead close to 100. Shahbaz Nadeem and skipper Varun Aaron gave Singh good support in the middle as the latter went about scoring the bulk of the runs.

Samson knocks on selectors' doors
Kerala's Sanju Samson posted a huge unbeaten hundred to yet again put himself in the reckoning of the India selectors, just days after the MSK Prasad-led selection panel stating that they considered the 21-year-old for the India-New Zealand One-dayers. Samiullah Beigh picked up four wickets for Jammu and Kashmir.
