India's Jitu Rai clinched silver in 50 metre pistol event at the International Shooting Sport Federation World Cup Final in Italy on Thursday, with a tally of 188.8.
This was Rai's first event after the Rio Olympics in August and he put in a brilliant show. He started with a 10.6, 10.3 and 9.2 and continued the good run to end on 188.8 to finish second and clinch silver.
China's Wei Pang won the gold with a tally of 190.6 while Italy's Giuseppe Giordano took the bronze with a score of 170.3
The 29-year-old Rai, who was recently awarded with the Khel Ratna, had a disappointing Olympics campaign where he failed to qualify for the finals of both the events he was participating in.
